TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (April 6, 2020) - The No. 4 Salt Lake Community College men's basketball team had a historic season of team accomplishments and now the Bruins can add some individual honors to the list.

Justice Hill was named as an NJCAA All-America player, earning a spot on the NJCAA's First Team. Hill earned several individual honors throughout the regular season, finishing as the Region 18 Player-of-the-Year after leading Salt Lake to a 12-0 mark in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

Kyle Taylor said the entire Salt Lake program is thrilled for Hill's accomplishments.
"I'm excited for
Justice Hill to receive an incredible honor like this," he said. "His hard work this year and throughout his career put him in this position. He had an unbelievable year for us at Salt Lake.
"Awards like this are great individual awards, but also reflective of our team accomplishments. We had a tremendous year and this is another award that showcases what our program accomplished this season."
Hill averaged 13.9 points a game for the Bruins, starting 32 games as a redshirt freshman. Overall, he helped Salt Lake to one of its best seasons in school history, as the Bruins posted a 29-4 record with a 15-game winning streak.
For his part, Hill said the honor is humbling.
"It means everything to me," he said. "It's an incredible honor and I give all the glory to God. The team and I worked hard for this and I'm glad to see all that hard work pay off."
Salt Lake was set to enter the 2020 NJCAA National Tournament as the No. 4 overall seed, prior to the NJCAA's cancellation of the event due to COVID-19 prevention efforts.Â
