Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 6, 2020) – The No. 18 Salt Lake Community College baseball team earned a doubleheader split on Friday.

SLCC split with the College of Southern Idaho on Friday, picking up a win of 2-1 and falling 5-4 in the second game. The split levels SLCC's overall record at 19-4 and 6-1 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

Salt Lake and Southern Idaho will play the series finale on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.Â

Salt Lake 2, Southern Idaho 1: A gem of a pitching performance by
Fynn Chester helped the Bruins to a victory in game one of the day.
Â
Chester threw a one-run complete game, throwing seven innings while allowing just four hits and one run. He also struck out five Golden Eagles.
Â
Salt Lake posted an early 1-0 lead, scoring in the second inning. Southern Idaho came back to tie the game in the fourth inning before the Bruins reclaimed the lead with a run in the sixth inning.Â

Brody Colledge hit a solo home run, going 1-of-3 in the game to help lead the Bruins.
Sean Keating also had an RBI in the game.Â

Southern Idaho 5, Salt Lake 4: A late scoring flurry lifted Southern Idaho to a game two win.
The Golden Eagles scored three runs in the last two innings, erasing a 4-2 Salt Lake lead, The Bruins posted three runs in the fourth inning, with
Cole Gambill going 1-of-2 with a double and Keating finishing with a double and a pair of RBI's.
Jason James threw 5.1 innings in the loss, surrendering a run and striking out four CSI batters.Â
