Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 28, 2020) - The No. 20 Salt Lake Community College baseball team kept its winning streak alive Friday, earning a doubleheader sweep.

The Bruins swept a Scenic West Athletic Conference doubleheader with Colorado Northwestern Community College, earning a 5-4 win in game one and a 4-0 win in game two. The victories lifted Salt Lake to an overall record of 16-3 and 3-0 in the Scenic West.

Salt Lake will play a single game on Saturday against CNCC, playing at 12:00 p.m. at Cate Field.

Salt Lake 5, Colorado Northwestern 4: A slow start gave way to a strong finish for SLCC in game one of the day.

CNCC scored two runs in the first inning, a lead that held until the Bruins scored a pair of runs in the fifth inning to tie the game. SLCC took a 3-2 lead in the sixth inning, before CNCC reclaimed a 4-3 lead in the seventh inning. Salt Lake scored two runs in the bottom of the inning, taking a lead they would never relinquish.

Cole Gambill went 1-of-3 in the game with a home run. Sean Keating went 2-of-2 with a home run and a pair of RBI's. Fynn Chester threw six innings in the game, giving up four hits while striking out six. 

Salt Lake 4, Colorado Northwestern 0: A sterling pitching performance by Jason James told the story for Salt Lake.

James threw five scoreless innings, allowing no hits and just one walk while striking out six Spartans. SLCC scored runs in each of the first two innings, posting five hits in the game. 

Dalton Hodge and Cole Gambill both picked up hits and RBI's.
