Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 16, 2020) – The Salt Lake Community College baseball team concluded a four-game weekend tournament with an undefeated record on Sunday.
 
The Bruins, playing in the final game of the 'Coyote Border Battle' hosted by the College of Southern Nevada, earned a 11-5 win over Prairie Baseball Academy to finish the tournament at 4-0. The win also boosts Salt Lake's overall record to 9-3.
 
SLCC scored six runs in the second inning, claiming a 9-2 lead after the third inning. Thomas Grilli went 3-of-4 in the game, delivering a triple and an RBI. Sean Keating went 1-of-3 with a trio of RBI's, finishing with a double.
 
Jason James threw 2.2 innings, striking out five Prairie batters. Conner Johnson also struck out three batters in 2.2 innings.
 
Salt Lake will play its 2020 home opener at Cate Field on Friday in a four-game series with Treasure Valley Community College.
