Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 14, 2020) – A Valentine's Day doubleheader featured plenty of love for the Salt Lake Community College baseball team.

Playing in a tournament hosted by the College of Southern Nevada, the Bruins earned a 4-1 win over Okanagan College and a 14-4 decision over Prairie Baseball Academy to sweep the doubleheader. The wins push Salt Lake's overall record to 7-3.

Salt Lake will match up with Okanagan yet again on Saturday, playing at 11:00 a.m.

Salt Lake 4, Okanagan 1: A pair of early runs lifted the Bruins to a victory in their opening game of the day.

The Bruins posted two runs in the second inning, scoring later on to clinch the game.
Cade Perkins led SLCC offensively, going 3-of-4 with a home run and a double.
Dalton Hodge went 1-2 with a triple, while
Cole Gambill had a 2-of-4 performance at the plate with two RBI's.

Jake Wilson earned the pitching victory, throwing five innings of three-hit ball with eight strikeouts.

Salt Lake 14, Prairie 4: SLCC started hot and never looked back in an impressive victory.

Salt Lake scored three runs in the first inning and seven runs in the second inning, taking a dominating double-digit lead they never surrendered.
Brody Colledge led Salt Lake, going 2-of-3.
Fynn Chester led from the pitching mound, going five innings while striking out seven Prairie batters.Â
