SLCC Men's Basketball signs Marvin Price for 2020-21 recruiting class

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (January 10, 2020) - The Salt Lake Community College men's basketball team may be in the midst of the 2019-20 season but recruiting never ends in college sports.

Friday, Bruin coach Kyle Taylor announced the signing of Maryland product Marvin Price, a shooting guard who is transferring from Ohio University. Price was a highly-touted prospect from Patterson High School in Baltimore.

Taylor said Price is an important signing for next year.

"We are thrilled to be adding Marvin Price to our roster for next season," he said. "He will be joining our team now and red-shirting for the spring semester as well. Marvin is a dynamic scorer that can score it at all three levels. He's got great size for a guard at 6'5", is physical, strong and can really drive and finish the ball. He's a good rebounder and very good three-point shooter. He will get a great jump on learning our system and style of play by being here for the spring semester."

For his part, Price said he is excited to continue his collegiate career with SLCC.

"I'm glad that I've been welcomed to the basketball family at SLCC," he said. "I'm grateful for this opportunity."

Salt Lake will play on Saturday against in-state rival Snow College.
