No. 5 SLCC Women's Soccer to play No. 7 Snow on Thursday, Southern Nevada Saturday

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (September 18, 2019) - Times are good for the No. 5 Salt Lake Community College women's soccer team and the Bruins will have a chance to feel much better depending on the upcoming week.

SLCC is taking to the road to play two matches against nationally-ranked foes, starting with a titantic road match at No. 7 Snow College on Thursday in Ephraim and a Saturday match against Southern Nevada. Since CSN is receiving several votes in the NJCAA polls, it means the Bruins will have one of their most challenging weekends of the season upcoming.

Salt Lake coach Mark Davis said his team will much to prepare for as they get ready for the weekend.

"This is a big week for our team," he said. "We don't change much about how we approach things this week. We treat every training with great attention to detail.  Playing on the road will be a good test for our program."

Snow is off to a sterling 3-0-1 start to the season, including a 1-0 road win over the College of Southern Nevada last weekend. The Badgers scored 16 goals in the first three matches of the season, giving them the ability to win through both offensive and defensive strength. CSN also started the 2019 season hot, opening at 6-0 before falling to Snow and a non-conference road match at Mt. San Antonio on Sunday.

The Bruins will travel to Ephraim for their 3:00 p.m. match on Thursday, followed up a 1:00 p.m. start time in Henderson on Saturday. Salt Lake's next home match is scheduled for October 10 against Southern Nevada at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman.
