Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (April 12, 2019) - Occasionally there bumps in the road of a college baseball season.

The No. 11 Salt Lake Community College baseball team hit one of those bumps Friday, losing in a doubleheader with the College of Southern Idaho in Scenic West Athletic Conference play. SLCC fell in an extra-innings thriller, 1-0, in game one and had a 4-0 loss in game two. The games leave Salt Lake's overall record at 29-7 and their Scenic West record at 18-3.

The Bruins and Golden Eagles will play another Scenic West doubleheader on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. Live stats for the game will be available at athletics.csi.edu.

Southern Idaho 1, Salt Lake 0: An 11th inning walk-off sent Salt Lake to just its second loss in the Scenic West.

Tied at 0-0 in the 11th inning, Southern Idaho delivered a walk-off double to earn the victory. Hits came at a premium in the game as there were just nine combined hits for both teams, with the Bruins having very few scoring opportunities in the game. SLCC had one of its best opportunities in the fifth inning as Tanner Argyle hit a double to put a man in scoring position for the Bruins, but the opportunity was downed by Southern Idaho.

Breck Eichelberger started the game for Salt Lake, pitching seven scoreless innings while striking out eight batters. He allowed just four hits in the game. Argyle, Gabe Singer and Josh Cowden registered the hits for the Bruins. 

Southern Idaho 4, Salt Lake 0: Another tough outing led to the Bruins being swept in a doubleheader for the first time since late January.

The Golden Eagles scored a single run in the first inning, holding off several tough at-bats by the Bruins before scoring three runs in the fourth inning to take a 4-0 lead they would never relinquish. Salt Lake mustered just two hits in the game as Tanner Argyle and Colton Moore both went 1-of-3.
