Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 2, 2019) - With one series under their respective belts in Scenic West Athletic Conference action, the Salt Lake Community College baseball team is filled with confidence.
After earning an impressive doubleheader sweep on Friday against Colorado Northwestern, the Bruins followed up with another doubleheader sweep to sweep the league series against the Spartans by scores of 7-3 and 4-2. The victory lifts Salt Lake's overall record to 11-4 and league record to a perfect 4-0.
The Bruins will host the College of Southern Idaho in league action next weekend, with a four-game series scheduled at Cate Field in West Jordan. Friday's doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.

Jace Shepherd solo home run boosting SLCC's lead to 7-0. On the pitching front, Salt Lake's
Jake Wilson threw five complete innings of two-hit ball to earn the victory.

Tanner Argyle hit a two-run, two-out RBI single in the seventh inning to lift Salt Lake to the victory, breaking up a 2-2 tie. SLCC got on the board in the first inning as

Jaxson Otis. The Bruins posted another run in the third inning with a
Brady Brook score, lifting SLCC to a 2-0 lead. CNCC scored two runs in the bottom half of the third to tie the score, with Argyle's hit giving the needed breathing room for both teams.
