TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (June 4, 2018) - Â The Salt Lake Community College men's basketball program will have another one of its stars from the 2017-18 season move on to play NCAA basketball.

Dalven Brushier announced on Twitter that he will continue his collegiate basketball career at Western Oregon University, an NCAA Division-II school in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Brushier made the announcement that he will attend the school, located in Monmouth, Ore., that went 31-2 during last season, falling in the finals of the West Regional to Cal Baptist.Â
Brushier was a solid contributor for a Salt Lake program that won the Scenic West Athletic Conference, advancing all the way to the NJCAA tourney. The Colorado Springs, Colo., native averaged 9.2 points a game for the Bruins, starting in 22 games for the program. Brushier was an All-Region 18 Honorable Mention player.Â
This is the second announcement of a player from the 2017-18 Bruins moving on to play NCAA basketball.
Kur Kuath announced he will continue his collegiate career at the University of Oklahoma, agreeing to play for the school after being an All-Region 18 prospect.Â
