Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (May 13, 2018) - Weather delays meant that a chance at the Region 18 championship would have to wait till Mothers' Day for the Salt Lake Community College baseball program.

The Bruins, who are already guaranteed a berth in next weekend's District One tournament, advanced to the Region 18 final against the College of Southern Idaho, after battling the Golden Eagles throughout the regular season. Unfortunately for Salt Lake, CSI was able to earn a 7-5 victory to earn the Region 18 title and the region's top seed in next weekend's district tourney.

It was Salt Lake who led early, taking a 3-1 lead after the third inning. The Bruins stretched the lead to 5-2 after the eighth inning, with Southern Idaho scoring five unanswered runs to earn the victory.

SLCC's Damian Henderson went 2-of-4 at the plate, with catcher Nick Seginowich going 1-of-2 at the plate with a two-run home run to his credit. Jesse Parker took the loss on the mound for Salt Lake.

The District One tournament pairings will be announced early in the week.
