Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (April 24, 2018) - The Salt Lake Community College baseball program continues to build momentum as the final weeks of the regular season draw nearer.

The Bruins have been on an upswing for over a month, moving into second place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings. Salt Lake defeated yet another in-state SWAC foe Tuesday, albeit in a non-conference fashion, as the Bruins earned a 13-9 victory over USU Eastern in a scheduled non-conference road game.

SLCC outfielder Damian Henderson had an outstanding afternoon, powering a 2-of-4 performance at the plate that featured a home run, a double and three RBI's. Salt Lake's Payton Freeman also went 2-of-4 with a double. 

Salt Lake will host the College of Southern Nevada in a league series starting Friday, with doubleheaders scheduled for Friday and Saturday at Cate Field in West Jordan. Friday's doubleheader is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
