The Bruins will host a weekend series against Colorado Northwestern Community College starting Friday. Both series will be played at SLCC's Cate Field in West Jordan. Friday's first game will start at 1:00 p.m., while Saturday's first game will start at 12:00 p.m.Â
This weekend's games against Colorado Northwestern will be the second time Salt Lake matches up against the Spartans this season. The first matchup came in a tournament hosted by the College of Southern Nevada, a matchup that the Bruins won by a margin of 12-5. SLCC's
Nick Seginowich and Paxton Freeman hit home runs in the February 22 win.
CNCC is 4-30 on the season and 0-12 in league standings. Their last victory came on Feb. 23 in the CSN-hosted tourney, a 5-3 win over USU Eastern.
SLCC is currently in the middle of the league standings in most statistical categories. The Bruins are third in batting (.263 average), third in pitching (4.23 ERA) and second in fielding (.956).Â
