TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 7, 2018) - Salt Lake Community College's baseball program is back in action this weekend, participating in the Coyote Border Battle in Las Vegas.
Playing in a tournament hosted by the College of Southern Nevada, the Bruins are scheduled to play four games over Friday and Saturday. SLCC will play Okanagan College and South Mountain Community College Friday, with games against Yavapai College and Cochise College scheduled for Saturday.
The Bruins have something to play for Friday night as they try to take the season series against South Mountain. Salt Lake split a pair of games at Dixie High School to open the season.Â
Salt Lake will continue to look for strong performances from pitchers

Parker Hall, along with a continuation of defensive performances that have seen the Bruins field at a percentage of .974. The Bruins are also hoping to continue to build their offensive prowess, focusing on catcher
Nick Seginowich and outfielder
Damian Henderson.Â
SLCC's home opener is scheduled for Valentine's Day against Prairie Baseball Academy. The Bruins will open Scenic West Athletic Conference play on March 2 at the College of Southern Idaho.Â
