Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 10, 2018) - The Salt Lake Community College Bruins had a successful Saturday in Las Vegas, powering to a 2-0 record in the final day of the College of Southern Nevada's Coyote Classic.
The Bruins earned a dominating offensive win over Yavapai College in the morning, following up with a 16-8Â win over Cochise College.
Salt Lake's next game is scheduled for Feb. 14 against Prairie Baseball Academy, in a doubleheader that is scheduled for SLCC's Cate Field in West Jordan.
Salt Lake 10, Yavapai 3: A strong start lifted the Bruins to an overpowering win over Yavapai Saturday morning.
Salt Lake took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, eventually stretching the lead to 4-2 after the fifth inning. The Bruins batted through the lineup in the seventh inning, scoring four runs to take control of the game. SLCC finished with 16 hits in the game.
Damian Henderson went 4-for-5 in the game, finishing with two doubles.
Nick Seginowich went 2-for-2, along with getting three walks. Two of Seginowich's walks were painful, due to being hit-by-pitches.Â

Ben Weese earned the victory, throwing five innings with nine strikeouts.
Jesse Parker threw three innings of relief, finishing with six strikeouts.
Salt Lake 16, Cochise 8: Down 8-0 early, it appeared the Bruins were in for a long game against Cochise College. Little did they know how long the game, and one inning, would actually be.
Trailing 8-3 entering the bottom of the sixth inning, the Bruins posted an astounding 13 runs in the frame, changing the game entirely. Indeed, after Cochise posted no runs in the top of the seventh inning, Salt Lake earned the victory on a run-ruled game.
Damian Henderson went 3-for-4 in the game, finishing with two triples.
Nick Seginowich also had a triple, going 2-for-3 in the game. The Bruins posted 14 hits in the game.
Cochise led 5-0 after the top of the first inning, stretching the lead to 8-0 midway through the fourth inning.Â
