TAYLORSVILLE, Utah- Region 18 Awards were announced for baseball and 14 Bruins were recognized for their efforts.
Mitch Berryhill was named the Region 18 Defensive Player of the Year. Berryhill led the SWAC in batting average (.434), on base percentage (.517), hits (76), and runs scored (59). Mitch was also named to the First-Team All-Region list and the Defensive Team.
Austin Ovard also received First Team All-Region honors. Austin led the SWAC in fielding double plays and was second in the SWAC in triples.
Second-Team All-Region honors went to
Joe Barlow,
Lincoln Clayton,
Trevor Peterson,
Kam Lane, and
Cameron Benson.

Baseball ended their season 29-27 overall and 18-19 in conference making a big late season push. Bruins fought their way through the Region 18 Tournament ending as the No. 3 team in the SWAC.
