Game 1 Recap:
Salt lake Community College starter Courtney Platt doesn't need much help when she is on the rubber and she showed it on Friday against Golden West. Six strong innings by Courtney Platt carried the Bruins to a 2-0 victory over Golden West in seven innings.

SLCC went up in the fourth scoring one run on a sacrifice fly by KyRae Kogianes bringing in Karly Bunderson. In the bottom of the fifth, the Bruins extended their lead when
Bailie Nelson scored on a Golden West error.

Game 2 Recap:
Lauren Frailey started the game at the mound, only allowing one run and struck out four.

The Bruins struck first in the bottom of the second when Courtney Beaver connected for a triple bringing in Lauren Frailey and Tina Ford.

SLCC added another run in the bottom of the third and capitalized in the bottom of the fourth adding four runs. The seventh run came from a Megan Reed single to center field that brought in Raeana Gail.

Eastern Arizona made a run at it scoring one in the top of the fifth and adding five runs at the top of the sixth but it was not enough to overpower the Bruins.

Salt Lake will finish their tournament tomorrow, when they face three more opponents.
