MBB: Salt Lake Takes Down USU-E 89-63

Box Score TAYLORSVILLE, Utah- Salt Lake defeated USU-Eastern 89-63 Saturday night inside of Bruin Arena. The Bruins improve to 13-1 on the season and 2-0 in the conference. Four players ended in double-digits, while the team shot 53 percent from the field.

SLCC was led by sophomore Tyler Rawson who posted a double-double with a game-high 19 points and 10 rebounds. Marcus White shot 75 percent from the field racking up 18 points, five rebounds, and four blocks. Freshman Bushmen Ebet tallied 16 points and four steals. Austin Waddoups had 10 points to round out the night.

Early in the game the Golden Eagles were able to take the lead four times but could only extend it to as many as two points. The Bruins worked as a team extending their lead to 16 with 1:14 left in the first off a Toolson three. After half, Salt Lake controlled the rest of the game.  The Bruins had 31 points come from their bench, with 14 second chances and 16 fast breaks.

Salt Lake will travel to face Snow College Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m.
