Salt Lake City, UT—The SLCC baseball team (18-8, 10-2) won a pair of contests with Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) (7-21, 2-9 SWAC) on Saturday at Cate Field in West Jordan, UT.
The Bruins topped the Spartans
7-4 in the day's first game and won an
8-1 decision over CNCC in game two. SLCC now leads the regular season series with CNCC 4-1. The Bruins are currently in the lead in the SWAC standings, five games ahead of rival College of Southern Idaho (CSI) (16-14, 5-3 SWAC).
Game 1 Stats: Sophomore outfielder
Zach Watts (West Jordan, UT) was 2-for-4 with a triple, a home run and three runs batted in (RBI). Sophomore outfielder
Nick Urban (Las Vegas, NV) was 1-for-3 with a double and one RBI and freshman catcher
Zach Willis (Lindon, UT) was 1-for-4 with a run scored and one RBI.

Robert Grilli (Mississauga, Ontario) was 0-for-1 with a run scored and two stolen bases.Sophomore pitcher
Jarren Adam (Murray, UT) picked up the win with five strikeouts and no walks issued in 2.1 innings pitched. He allowed three hits and no runs in the game one victory.

Taylor Snyder (Elk Ridge, UT) was 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and three RBI. Freshman utility player
Garrett Bushman (Farmington, UT) was 1-for-2 with a three-run home run as the designated hitter.
Watts was 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI and freshman infielder
Tyler Strehlow (St. George, UT) went 1-for-2 at the plate with a run scored and one RBI.

Jared White (Riverton, UT) picked up the win with one strikeout, two hits and two walks allowed in three innings of work.
