Salt Lake City, UT—No. 7 SLCC Women's Basketball (21-4, 10-0 SWAC) eased past Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) (5-18, 0-10 SWAC)
68-33 on Saturday in Rangely, CO. The win for SLCC marks its 16
th consecutive victory and is the second longest win streak in program history (2009-2010, 17).

Betsy Specketer earned her 400
th career win at SLCC, moving to 400-165 overall in her tenure with the Bruins. Her career conference record now stands at 214-97.
The Bruins remain unbeaten in conference play and are in first place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) standings.
SLCC out-rebounded CNCC 53-39 and held the Lady Spartans to 17 percent shooting on 9-for-53 from the floor. The Bruins finished at 40.4 percent from the field and had 18 assists on 24 made baskets. SLCC held CNCC to 11 first half points and all but one Bruin player scored points in the contest.
"We defended very well tonight, it was a total team effort and everyone got involved," said
Specketer. "The 400-win thing was kind of a surprise to me, I knew it was coming soon but I'm just really glad it happened with this group of players and coaches, this is a really special group."
Stats vs. CNCC: Sophomore guard
Summer Yack (South Jordan, UT) led all scorers with 20 points and was 5-for-6 from three point range. The Bingham High School graduate also had four assists.
Sophomore guard
Mercedes Riggs (Lindon, UT) finished with seven assists and no turnovers and sophomore forward
Bella Swan (Farmington, UT) added four points and eight rebounds. Freshman forward
Tanesha Daniels (Brigham City, UT) turned in two points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
Next up for Coach
Specketer and the Bruins is a SWAC road game at Snow College (9-13, 2-17 SWAC) on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. in Ephraim, UT. SLCC leads the regular season series with Snow College 2-0. The Bruins defeated the Badgers 58-52 in the conference opener on Dec. 14 in Ephraim and topped Snow College 54-52 at Bruin Arena on Jan. 18.
