SALT LAKE CITY—The
No. 10-ranked SLCC Women's Basketball team (17-4, 6-0 SWAC) picked up its 12
th straight win by defeating in-state rival Snow College (8-11, 1-5 SWAC)
54-42 on Saturday night at Bruin Arena.
SLCC remains atop the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) standings as the only team in the conference without a loss in league play. SLCC moves to 7-0 on its home floor this season.
The Bruins out-rebounded the Badgers 38-30 and shot 38.8 percent from the field. SLCC held Snow College to 33.3 percent from the field with the Bruins winning the turnover battle by a slim margin of 22-21.
Stats vs. Snow: SLCC sophomore guard
Summer Yack (South Jordan, UT) led the team in scoring with 12 points and the Bingham High School graduate had four rebounds and two assists in the winning effort.
Sophomore forward
Britney Johnson (Pleasant Grove, UT) added 10 points and six rebounds and freshman guard
Cassidy Fraughton (American Fork, UT) turned in nine points to go with five rebounds and a pair of assists.

Betsy Specketer and the Bruins is a home matchup with SWAC opponent North Idaho College on Thursday, Jan. 23 at Bruin Arena with tipoff slated for 5:30 p.m.
