Rangeley, CO—The SLCC Baseball team (32-16, 20-12 SWAC) completed the weekend series sweep of Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent Colorado Northwestern CC (2-30, 2-30 SWAC) with wins of 7-1 and 14-3 (five innings) on Saturday. The Bruins topped the Spartans in all eight contests the teams played this season.

SLCC Game 1 Stats: Sophomore pitcher Michael Springer (West Jordan, UT) picked up the win and sophomore pitcher Rhett Nelson (Lindon, UT) struck out two Spartan batters in three innings of relief. Sophomore utility player Palmer Page (Saratoga Springs, UT) was 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and sophomore outfielder Bryan Heward (Ogden, UT) was 3-for-4 with a double.

SLCC Game 2 Stats: Freshman pitcher Anthony Dixon (West Valley City, UT) was the winning pitcher in game two with sophomore pitcher JC Campo (Las Vegas, NV) turning in two strikeouts in one inning of relief. Heward was 3-for-4 with a double and sophomore catcher Nathan Fishel (Littleton, CO) was 4-for-4 in the winning effort.
