Salt Lake City, UT—The SLCC Baseball team (13-9, 7-5 SWAC) split a pair of contests with Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent No. 7-ranked College of Southern Nevada (CSN) (17-6, 5-1 SWAC) on Friday. The Bruins won the first game 5-3 and fell in game two 5-2.

Bruin freshman pitcher Brady Corless (Spanish Fork, UT) picked up the win in game one with three strikeouts and two earned runs allowed in 5.1 innings of work. Sophomore pitcher Skylar Janisse (Maidstone, Ontario) earned the save with one strikeout in 1.2 innings pitched.
Sophomore catcher Nate Fishel (Littleton, CO) was 1-for-3 at the plate with a triple, a run scored and three RBIs. Freshman outfielder Zach Watts (West Jordan, UT) was 1-for-4 with a double and one RBI.

In game two, freshman infielder Robert Grilli (Mississauga, Ontario) was 1-for-3 and sophomore utility player Palmer Page (Saratoga Springs, UT) was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

Next up for Head Coach DG Nelson and the Bruins is a SWAC doubleheader against USU-Eastern on Tuesday, Mar. 12. First pitch for game one is slated for Noon in Price, UT.
