Salt Lake City, UT—The SLCC Baseball team (24-10, 16-6 SWAC) won a pair of home games over in-state opponent USU-Eastern on Friday at Cate Field. SLCC defeated the Golden Eagles 6-0 in game one and took game two 9-5.
Sophomore pitcher
Michael Springer (West Jordan, UT) picked up the game one victory with four strikeouts and two hits allowed in five innings of work. Freshman outfielder
Connor Williams (South Jordan, UT) was 2-for-3 with one RBI and a run scored and sophomore infielder
JC Snyder (Salem, UT) was 1-for-2 at the plate with three RBIs.
Sophomore pitcher
Skylar Janisse (Maidstone, ONT) earned the game two win with three strikeouts in five innings of work. Freshman infielder
Robert Grilli (Mississauga, ONT) was 3-for-5 at the plate with a run scored and two RBIs. Sophomore catcher
Nathan Fishel (Littleton, CO) was 1-for-2 with one RBI and a run scored and sophomore infielder
Sam Goold (St. George, UT) was 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored.

DG Nelson and the Bruins is a second home doubleheader against
USU-Eastern on Saturday, Mar. 30. First pitch for the day's opening contest is slated for Noon. The games will take place on Swing for Life Day at Cate Field with the Bruins raising money for the fight against breast cancer.
