\American Fork, UT—The SLCC Baseball team (21-9, 15-5 SWAC) picked up a pair of victories over Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent College of Southern Idaho (CSI) (16-19, 5-11 SWAC) on Friday.

The doubleheader was moved to American Fork High School due to unplayable field conditions at Cate Field from recent snowfall. The pair of victories extends the win streak to eight contests for SLCC.

Sophomore pitcher Rhett Parkinson (Wellsville, UT) picked up the game one victory with seven strikeouts and two runs allowed in six innings of work. Freshman infielder Robert Grilli (Mississauga, Ontario) was 2-for-3 at the plate and sophomore catcher Bo Fisher (American Fork, UT) was 2-for-4 with a double.

Freshman pitcher Brady Corless (Spanish Fork, UT) struck out four CSI batters to pick up the game two win with a complete game effort. Sophomore infielder Sam Goold (St. George, UT) was 2-for-4 and freshman infielder Kade Teter (Pocatello, ID) was 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Next up for Head Coach DG Nelson and the Bruins is a home doubleheader against CSI on Saturday, Mar. 23 at Cate Field. Game one is set to get underway at Noon.
