Salt Lake City, UT—The SLCC Baseball team (17-9, 11-5 SWAC) picked up a doubleheader sweep of Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) (1-14, 1-14 SWAC) on Friday. The Bruins had 20 team hits and committed no fielding errors on the day.

Bruin sophomore pitcher Dane Fuller (Castle Rock, CO) was the winning pitcher of record with three strikeouts and one hit allowed in two innings of relief. Sophomore pitcher Bronson Anderson (Lehi, UT) picked up the save with one strikeout to close the contest.

Sophomore outfielder Steven Adam (Tecumseh, Ontario) was 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs and a run scored and sophomore catcher Bo Fisher (American Fork, UT) was 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs.

Freshman pitcher Brady Corless (Spanish Fork, UT) earned the win in game two with six strikeouts, two hits and no runs allowed in five innings pitched. Freshman infielder Robert Grilli (Mississauga, Ontario) was 2-for-3 with a double and a triple to go with two runs scored and two RBIs. Adam was 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in the winning effort.

Next up for Head Coach DG Nelson and the Bruins is another doubleheader against CNCC on Saturday, Mar. 16 at Cate Field. First pitch for game one is slated for Noon.
