The teams competing in the Region 18 Tournament are battling for the chance to go to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Tournament. The Women's National Championships are held in Salina, KS and the Men's Championship is contested for in Hutchinson, KS.

Notes: The Region 18 Men's Basketball Champion will play against the Arizona league victor in a District Playoff.

This is the first year in which the NJCAA has implemented at-large berths into the National Tournament. Teams do NOT have to win the Region 18 Championship to be considered for NJCAA Championship competition, though there are only four at-large berths available for both the men and women's brackets.
