SLCC Men's Basketball Preps for Slate of Three Games This Week
Bruins to face pair of Arizona-based schools, get set for 2013-2014 home opener
SALT LAKE CITY, UT—The
No. 17-ranked SLCC Men's Basketball team (2-0) has three games on tap for this week, beginning with a pair of away contests against Arizona-based schools. The Bruins will face Chandler-Gilbert Community College on Monday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. in Chandler, AZ and SLCC will take on Phoenix College on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Phoenix, AZ.
The Bruins will then return home to Salt Lake City to host Western Wyoming Community College (WWCC) on Saturday, Nov. 9 with tipoff slated for 6 p.m. The matchup with WWCC marks the 2013-2014 home opener for SLCC. The home contest will be played in the auxiliary gym of the Lifetime Activities Center on the SLCC Taylorsville Redwood Campus due to the Region 18 Volleyball Championships taking place at Bruin Arena.
SLCC is averaging 75.5 points per game through two contests and is allowing an average of 73 points per outing to the opposition.
SLCC Women's Basketball to Host Annual SLCC Tournament This Week
Bruins off to 2-0 start, get set for three home games this weekend
SALT LAKE CITY, UT—The SLCC Women's Basketball team (2-0) will play three games at home this weekend at the annual SLCC Tournament. The Bruins will face Pima College on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. and will square off with South Mountain Community College on Friday, Nov. 8 with tipoff also set for 6 p.m.
SLCC will close the weekend with a contest against Northwest College on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 4 p.m. All games will be played in the auxiliary gym of the Lifetime Activities Center on the SLCC Taylorsville Redwood Campus due to the Region 18 Volleyball Championships taking place at Bruin Arena.
The SLCC Women are averaging 72.5 points per game through two contests and are allowing an average of 47 points per outing to the opposition. The Bruins have forced 70 turnovers in the first two ballgames of the 2013-2014 campaign.
