Rangely, CO—The SLCC Women's Basketball team (12-6, 3-2 SWAC) picked up its second straight road win by defeating Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponent Colorado Northwestern CC (CNCC) (12-8, 1-4 SWAC) 68-47 on Saturday. The victory ensures that SLCC will be in third place in the SWAC heading into next week's conference matchups and is the second straight overall win for the Bruins.
The Bruins led by 16 at the half and shot 60% from the field in the victory. SLCC out-rebounded the Spartans 39-31 and made 29-of-48 field goal attempts. Every Bruin that dressed played in the game, and 11 of the team's 14 players in uniform scored points in the contest.

Rachel Morris (Mesquite, NV) scored 10 points on 5-for-6 shooting to go with four rebounds and sophomore guard
Katie Richens (Roosevelt, UT) added nine points in the winning effort. Bruin freshman guard
Miranda Averett (Price, UT) came off the bench to score eight points and snag three steals.
