TWIN FALLS, ID—No. 7-ranked Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Women's Volleyball (2-0) defeated two Wyoming-based schools, each in three sets on Friday in Twin Falls, ID. The Bruins eased past Sheridan College (SC) 25-19, 25-11 and 25-15 in the day's first match before taking down No. 18 Casper College (CC) 25-19, 25-15 and 25-15 in the night cap at the Buffalo Wild Wings-Hilex Poly Invitational hosted by the College of Southern Idaho.

Maddie Bushman (Tucson, AZ) tallied seven kills against SC with two service aces. Sophomore middle hitter
Mayra Ramirez (Calle, Columbia) had two blocks solo against SC, contributing to a total of five team blocks in the match.
Bushman and freshman outside hitter
Bailee Kendall (Mt. Pleasant, UT) combined for 26 kills, 13 each, in SLCC's victory over CC. Bushman was 13-for-20 for an attacking percentage of .550 in the day's second match. The Bruins racked up nine team blocks in the three-set win over Casper.
Next up for SLCC Volleyball is another doubleheader on Saturday, Aug. 25. The Bruins will take on Phoenix College at 11 a.m. and Northwest College at 5 p.m. in Twin Falls.
