Baseball: Bruins Split Day one with Southern Idaho
TWIN FALLS, ID- The Salt Lake Community College Baseball team split the doubleheader with Southern Idaho winning 5-3 and losing 4-3. The Bruins are now 17-4 overall and 8-2 in conference play.
Tanner Banks got the game one win with three strikeouts in five innings of work. Salt Lake scored three runs in the first inning to open the game up.
Dominique Taylor was 2 for 3 in the game.
In game two Salt Lake and Southern Idaho took a 3-3 tie into the ninth inning before Southern Idaho won on a walk off single.
AJ Carman went seven strong innings in the loss. The Bruins combined for 10 team hits led by
Tyson Popoff going 2-2 and
Dalton Gust was 2 for 4.
