SALT LAKE CITY – The number one ranked SLCC Bruin Baseball team took three out of four games from Southern Nevada in Henderson, Nevada.
The Bruins took the final three games of the series.
The three wins takes Salt Lake's record to 36-4 overall and 21-3 in conference play.
In the first game of the series Salt Lake held a 4-2 lead into the fifth inning before Southern Nevada rallied off seven runs to take the 9-4 win over Salt Lake. Sean Moysh hit a double, Dom Taylor blasted a home runs and Tyson Popoff was 2 for 3.
Rudy Acosta was unhittable in the second game striking out a season high 12 batters while allowing two hits. Kyle Bilbrey drove home four runs going 3 for 4 with a home run. Dom Taylor was 3 for 4 with a double.
AJ Carmen got the win in game three while Eddy Alverez drove home five runs to lead Salt Lake to the 10-6 win. Moysh was 3 for 3 with a double Taylor was 2 for 4 and Tyson Popoff drove home the go ahead run.
In the final game of the weekend Jordan Hager picked up the win throwing two innings and AJ Carmen came in to get the save. Bilbrey was 3 for 4 driving home the wining run in the 6th inning.
