 SALT LAKE CITY – The third ranked SLCC Baseball team took their winning streak to 24 games with two wins over conference rival #13 Southern Idaho 5-4 & 3-2.  The Bruins are 25-1 overall and a perfect 10-0 in conference play.

 

Adam Gunn went six innings allowing one earned run with four strikeouts in game one.  Tanner Banks got the one inning save allowing one hit with one strikeout.  Mitch Manning was 2 for 2 with one RBI and a double.  Sean Moysh was 2 for 3, Braden Anderson was 1 for 2 with an double and two stolen bases.

 

In game two the SLCC pitching staff struck out 10 batters with Tyson Memmott going six innings allowing five hits, no runs and seven strikeouts.  Tanner Banks picked up his second save of the day allowing one hit in the ninth inning.  Cory Raymond was 2 for 4 with an RBI triple, Kennedy Kinkade was 1 for 3 with an RBI double and Dom Taylor was 1 for 3 with a triple. 

 

No. 3 Salt Lake looks for the sweep against #13 Southern Idaho tomorrow at Cate Field; first pitch scheduled for noon.
