SALT LAKE CITY (May 7, 2010) - The SLCC Bruin Baseball team took two decisive wins from Southern Nevada winning 4-3 & 11-7. The two wins take Salt Lake's record to 35-15 overall and 26-11 in SWAC play.
In the bottom of the seventh SLCC pushed two runs across the plate to take the 4-3 win. Zack Swasey was 3-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Tyson Memmott and
Brett Nathan combined to get the win. Memmott went 5.2 innings allowing five hits and Nathan closed it out going 1.1 innings with no hits allowed.
Mitch Manning lead the way in game two going 2-4 with four RBIs and two doubles. Salt Lake scored six runs in the fourth inning to extend the lead.
Alex Exon was 3-5 with a triple and
Kasey Carling was 3-4 with two RBIs. Mike Edstrom got the win going 3.2 innings and
Brett Nathan closed the game going 2.0 innings with four strikeouts.
Salt Lake faces Southern Nevada again tomorrow in a double header starting at noon at Cate Field.
