SLCC Baseball smashes CNCC

RANGLEY, Colorado (April 9, 2010) – The Salt Lake Community College baseball team combined for 34 hits and 37 runs in a two game sweep of Colorado Northwestern. Salt Lake won 22-2 and 15-2 to run their record to 23-11 overall and 14-7 in conference play. Salt Lake scored ten runs in the second inning to run away with game one 22-2. JR Roland was 4-4 with four RBIs and two home runs. Zach Swasey was 3-5 with a double and three runs driven in. Mitch Manning finished game two with eight RBIs and three home runs. Bo Fisher was 2-3 with a double, Kyle Bilbry was 2-4 with a double. James Mahler got the win going four innings and Jermey Atkinson threw the fifith inning. Salt Lake (23-22, 14-7 SWAC) looks to complete the four game sweep as they face CNCC for a double header tomorrow at noon in Rangley, Colorado. SLCC 22 SLCC 15 CNCC 2 CNCC 2
