Holmstead Breaks School Record with 44

Ephraim, Utah – Sophomore Haley Holmstead goes for 44 points against Northwest breaking the previous record which was held by Holmstead with 40 points in a game. Holmstead shot 17-20 from the field and was 9-11 at the free throw line.  Salt Lake held a 53-31 halftime lead over Northwest College cruising to the easy 96-72 win.    

Sofia Hepworth's quick hands stole 9 balls, one shy of the school record of 10.  Hepworth also added 15 points with 5 assists.  Jami Mokofisi was one rebound short of a double double finishing with 17 points and 9 boards. 

Salt Lake shot 60% from the field for the game and controlled the boards with a 41-21 advantage over Northwest College. 

Salt Lake (3-0) will hit the hardwood again for a contest against Eastern Idaho tomorrow at 5:30 pm in Ephraim Utah at the Snow College Tournament.
