Price, Utah-  No. 17 SLCC Softball (25-9) won both games in Saturday's doubleheader against USU-Eastern (11-19).

The Bruins won game one 6-4. Salt Lake led 5-0 after two innings. RF Jettlee Ioane brought in two runs in the first with a double and another run in the second with an RBI triple. CF Lahela Painter and C Savannah Palmatier also drove in a run. LHP Brecka Larson tossed all seven innings as she struck out five batters and allowed three earned runs. Brecka is now (10-1) on the year

SLCC finished the day with a 14-2 win that ended in six innings. LF Taitumn Reynen started the game with a triple and Palmatier brought her in to score. It was a 1-0 game until Salt Lake scored six runs in the fifth. The Bruins had five hits in the big inning. SLCC then scored seven runs in the sixth inning to put the game away. Madi Bowen hit a pinch-hit three-run home run for the Bruins in the sixth. 

Reynen, Jazmine Prathan, and Irma Medina all had a multi-hit game. Prathan and Bowen each totaled three RBI. Palmatier had a game-high four RBI. RHP Aubrie Hansen (7-4) threw all six innings and earned the win. Hansen allowed four hits, two earned runs, and struck out four.
