SALT LAKE CITY, Utah- SLCC Softball had seven players make the All-Region teams including the Pitcher of the Year and Player of the Year.

2B Ellie Pond was named the SWAC Player of the Year. The freshman led the conference with 21 home runs and 72 RBI. Pond finished the season with a ridiculous OBP of .602. Ellie also led Salt Lake in runs, doubles, walks, and stolen bases. 

RHP Mataeya Trellert (8-4) was awarded the Scenic West Pitcher of the Year. The freshman was dominant throughout the season as she recorded a 2.43 ERA in 75.0 innings pitched. Trellert had 89 strikeouts this season. Opponents batting average against Mataeya was a lowly .184 which led the league. 

SS Paige Shumway earned First Team All-Region honors. Shumway hit .379 recording 47 hits and scoring 47 runs. Paige was second on the team with 12 home runs. Shumway has committed to play at Utah Valley University. 

OF Irma Medina also made First Team All-Region. Medina hit .438 and recorded 56 hits. Irma played third base and catcher as well. 

1B Taylor Lewis-Balzarini was named to the All-Region First Team as well. Lewis-Balzarini hit exactly .400 on the year and was second on the team with 56 RBI. Taylor was third on the team in home runs with 11. 

CF Savannah Lewis was awarded Second Team All-Region. Lewis posted a .362 batting average and was second on the team in runs scored with 51. Savannah led the Bruins with five triples. 

DP Taitumn Reynen also earned Second Team All-Region. Reynen recorded a .381 batting average. Taitumn had 48 hits on the season.
