TWIN FALLS, Idaho (April 11-12, 2025)- No. 18 SLCC Softball lost three out of four games to CSI. The first place Golden Eagles won the first game of the series 3-2. CSI scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the sixth to win. Mataeya Trellert got the start for the Bruins and only surrendered two hits in six innings. Trellert had six strikeouts and three walks. 

Salt Lake won game two 10-5. Taylor Hagan pitched the whole game for the Bruins and recorded her seventh win. Salt Lake was down 5-0 until Ellie Pond hit her first home run of the game in the third inning. The following inning Pond hit a grand slam to break the tie and give the Bruins a 9-5 lead. Taylor Lewis-Balzarini homered in the seventh inning. 

CSI went off in game three as nine of their fourteen hits were home runs. They beat the Bruins 20-4. Lewis-Balzarini hit a grand slam for Salt Lake in the big loss. 

Southern Idaho won game four 8-0 in six innings. Marissa Mauger got the win and struck out seven Bruin batters.
