Box Score 4 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (March 28,30, 2025)- No. 16 Bruin Softball (24-5, 11-5) achieved their first series sweep in conference play beating North Idaho in four straight.
The Bruins won game one 10-2 in six innings. Mataeya Trellert picked up the win and struck out four batters. Salt Lake had 13 hits in the game and every player in the lineup recorded a hit.
Salt Lake scored nine runs in the final three innings and won game two 12-4. Ellie Pond and Taylor Lewis-Balzarini hit back-to-back home runs in the fourth for the Bruins. Savannah Lewis had an excellent game with two triples and six RBI.
The Bruins won game three 8-2. Ellie Pond hit a two-run home run in the first inning and Kylee Ruesch hit a two-run shot in the fourth. Lewis-Balzarini drove in two Bruins with a double. Paige Fennel picked up the win recording seven strikeouts and seven walks.
Elliot Plewe surrendered only three hits in game four and Salt Lake won 8-0 in five innings. Pond continued slugging, hitting two home runs in the final game recording five RBI. Lewis-Balzarini homered after Pond in the fourth inning once again.

Salt Lake will have the week off and then play at CSI on April 11th and 12th.
