TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Monday, May 6, 2024) - 11th-year Salt Lake Community College softball head coach Cyndee Bennett earned Scenic West Athletic Conference Coach of the Year after leading SLCC to a 44-7 overall regular season record and SWAC regular-season title. It is the second consecutive Coach of the Year honor for Bennett.

The three-time Utah Softball Coaches Association high school Coach of the Year has led SLCC to seven SWAC regular season titles and five Region 18 postseason championships. The Bruins have made three National Championship game appearances under Bennett. 

The former Bruin assistant under Mary Kay Amicone is 457-116 in 11 seasons leading the program. 

Bruin softball is 350-65 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play under Bennett.
