Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (Friday, March 29, 2024)— No. 10 Salt Lake only needed ten innings to finish a doubleheader sweep over the struggling Southern Nevada Coyotes.
The Bruins extended their winning streak to ten games, improving to 24-5.
Game One
SLCC 15 | CSN 2
Salt Lake wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, plating four first-inning runs, capped by a two-run Lexi Shaver home run. Shaver finished the game 3-3 with three RBI and three runs scored.
Jettlee Ioane also went 3-3 with three runs knocked in.
Shelbee Jones was a two-way terror against the Coyotes. They pitched four scoreless innings and struck out five. At the plate, Jones went 2-4 with five RBI and scored three times.
The Bruins pounded out five extra-base hits in the win.
Game Two
SLCC 12 | CSN 2
Mikayla Jankovic gave up two runs in four innings, striking out four to get the win.
Miranda Mansfield went 3-4 with four RBI and scored two runs. The Bruins shortstop singled home the game's first run in the opening inning before starting a nine-run third inning with an RBI double. The former Clearfield Falcon ended the scoring in the third with a two-RBI triple.
Shaver hit her tenth home run of the year, second behind Bailey Marvin's 14 long balls.

No. 10 SLCC remains in Henderson, Nevada, for a second day of doubleheader action against the Southern Nevada Coyotes on Saturday, March 30. The first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. MT.
