Game One
SLCC 1 | Central Arizona CC 4
Three Central Arizona extra-base hits, bad baserunning, and bad luck handed the Bruins their second loss of 2024.
Last week's SWAC Pitcher of the Week, Garrison Sumner (1-1), pitched four innings and gave up three runs (two earned) and five hits. The sophomore struck out seven and walked two to earn the loss.
Salt Lake scratched out seven hits but had two runners picked off and hit into five double-plays, scuttling any rally chance. Jalen Seward's two hits led the Bruins.
Game Two
SLCC 5 | Central Arizona CC 0
Shay Timmer came out of the pen and dazzled in 5.1 innings. The redshirt sophomore allowed two hits and struck out seven against two walks for his second win of the season.
