TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (May 23, 2023) – The Salt Lake Community College baseball team is headed to the NJCAA College World Series in Colorado as the tournament's No. 8 seed, according to a release from the NJCAA Tuesday.
 
SLCC will open play on May 27 with a game against No. 3 Wabash Valley. The tournament is played in a double elimination format, with the winner advancing to play the winner of a game between No. 2 Johnson County and No. 8 Shelton State.

 
The Bruins are 31-18 overall, having earned the Region 18 and NJCAA Western District championship titles. This is Salt Lake's first-ever appearance in the NJCAA College World Series in Grand Junction, Colo.
