Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (April 7, 2023) – Sunshine has been a rare commodity around Salt Lake Community College this spring; success has not.

The No. 12 SLCC Softball team has had plenty of success, powering to first place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings through the first half of the season. The Bruins mixed that success Friday with an in-state rival, finishing with a split of an 11-4 loss and a 6-3 win. Salt Lake is now 25-8 overall and 19-3 in Scenic West play.

Salt Lake took control early in game two of the series, finishing with a win to salvage a split on the day.
Lyndsey Madrigal hit a two-run home run in the first inning to jumpstart the Bruins, while
Bailey Marvin added a home run in the third inning to help the Bruins to a 5-2 lead.Â

SLCC and USU Eastern will play again on Saturday, starting at 11:00 a.m. at Norma Carr Field.
