TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (July 11, 2022) – After a stellar 2021-22 academic year that saw unprecedented on-the-field success, the Salt Lake Community College Athletic Department topped its season with a particularly pleasing treat, courtesy of the NJCAA.

Monday, the NJCAA announced that 24 SLCC student-athletes were named to their respective NJCAA academic teams. SLCC Softball led the Bruins in selections with 14 selections. In addition, the SLCC Softball program was named an NJCAA Academic Team of the Year with a team GPA of 3.53.Â

Student-athletes are eligible to earn academic honors by achieving an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher for the 2021-22 academic year. The criteria for the three All-Academic teams are listed below:
- NJCAA All-Academic First Team: 4.00 GPA
- NJCAA All-Academic Second Team: 3.80-3.99 GPA
- NJCAA All-Academic Third Team: 3.60-3.79 GPA
