Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (May 13, 2022) – The 2022 season has come to a close for the Salt Lake Community College Softball team.

Playing from the elimination bracket, the Bruins had to win three games on Friday to earn the Region 18 championship in Twin Falls, Idaho. SLCC earned a strong win over Snow College to start the day but lost its second game, falling 11-0 to host Southern Idaho in the Region 18 championship.

The Bruins ended their season with a mark of 37-17 with the loss.

Southern Idaho 11, Salt Lake 0: A dominant offensive display by host Southern Idaho lifted the Lady Golden Eagles to the Region 18 championship.

SLCC posted just six hits in the loss.
Trinity Benson went 2-of-4 at the plate to lead the Bruins.Â

Salt Lake 10, Snow 2: The Bruins opened the day with an impressive victory in an elimination game.

SLCC scored six runs in the first inning, with
Angelique Mann hitting a home run in the frame.
Hola Nakayama also added a home run in the first inning, then Mann posted an RBI double in the second inning to lift the Bruins to an 8-2 lead.Â

Jayci Finch earned the victory in the pitching circle, allowing just four hits in five innings. She also posted three strikeouts in the win.Â
