Box Score 2 TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (April 16, 2022) – The Salt Lake Community College Softball team did everything it could to help itself this weekend.

SLCC earned another doubleheader split on Saturday at Colorado Northwestern, earning wins of 12-8 and 7-1 to move to 8-0 against the Lady Spartans this season. Salt Lake is now  overall and () in Scenic West games.

The Bruins will travel to play Scenic West leader Southern Idaho in a four-game series next weekend.

SLCC earned a win thanks to standout performances by
Kaylee Pierce,
Allie Laub and
Lyndsey Madrigal, who all earned three hits apiece in the Bruin victory.
Briley Young earned the pitching victory, throwing seven innings and finishing with five strikeouts.Â

Salt Lake 7, Colorado Northwestern 1: Lyndsey Madrigal led the way in a SLCC victory.

Madrigal hit a solo home run in the fifth inning, part of the Bruins post 12 hits in the win.
Angelique Mann had four base hits in the victory.

Teya Gasu threw a complete-game victory, allowing just a single hit and run while striking out four batters in seven innings.Â
