TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (February 26, 2022) – The Salt Lake Community College Women's Basketball program was highly recognized in Wednesday's All-Region 18 honors.

SLCC's
Hennessey Luu-Brown was named to the All-Region 18 First Team honors, representing the Bruins after averaging 9.2 points and 3 rebounds a game for the Bruins. Salt Lake also had a pair of players named to the Second Team honors –
Diarrah Sissoko and
Finau Tonga.Â

Southern Nevada's Destiny Brown earned the 'Player-of-the-Year' award, while Southern Idaho's Randy Rogers was named 'Coach-of-the-Year'.Â

The All-Region 18 First Team included: Brown and Sharmayne Finley, Southern Nevada;Â Â Emilia Nworie and Ashley Strawbridge, Southern Idaho; Kinlee Toomer, USU Eastern; Ashley Edwards, Snow College; and
Hennessey Luu-Brown, Salt Lake. The All-Region 18 Second Team featured:
Diarrah Sissoko and
Finau Tonga, Salt Lake; Ella Bradley, USU Eastern; Ashana Hinds, Colorado Northwestern; Passion Reitz, Snow College; and Sadie Gronning, Southern Idaho.

Players who received an Honorable Mention honor on the All-Region 18 list were: Aaliyah Davis, Community Christian; Brooklyn Palmer, USU Eastern; Addie Johnson and Kennedy Eskelson, Snow College; and Brayli Jenks, Southern Idaho.

Salt Lake will play in-state rival Snow College on Friday in the Region 18 semifinals. The game will be played at 5:00 p.m. inside the Lifetime Activities Center.Â
