Salt Lake, UTAH- No. 20 SLCC Women's Basketball (13-5) defeated North Idaho College (5-10) 73-58 in the Bruins conference home opener.
Lyla Kahrimanovic led Salt Lake with 19 points and 8 boards. Lyla went 3-5 from the three-point line. Tahys Da Silva added 15 points and Ines Babaya recorded 11 points.
SLCC led 40-34 at halftime as Analeise Maharaj hit a three to beat the second quarter buzzer. Maharaj finished the game 2-2 from deep. The Bruins had a big third quarter for the second straight game as they outscored the Cardinals by ten. Salt Lake was 9-20 as a team from beyond the arc and 10-13 at the line.
Karsyn Freeman had a game-high 27 points for NIC in the loss.
